The Black Scottish Awards 2024 #TBSA: How it Went Down!
This past weekend, I had the honour of attending the Black Scottish Awards as a finalist for the "Sustainability Champion of the Year" category. The event was nothing short of incredible—a celebration of innovation, excellence, and the collective drive to create a better, more sustainable world.
Being in a room filled with such talented and inspiring individuals across various industries was an experience in itself. The energy was palpable, and the stories of resilience and success shared that night were truly motivating. One thing became clear: Scotland has a bright future, powered by passionate people committed to positive change.
Although I didn’t take home the award, I was genuinely thrilled to see it go to someone whose work I deeply respect. We had the chance to connect during the event, and I’m excited to say we’re already planning to collaborate on projects that can push the boundaries of sustainability even further. This is the beauty of such events—beyond the awards, they foster connections that can create real, lasting impact.
For me, the night was also a reminder of the importance of the work we’re doing at SNRG, where we’re leading the charge in all-electric smart grid solutions. Our focus on reducing carbon emissions and optimizing energy usage is more critical than ever, especially as we work toward a net-zero future. The recognition at the awards, even as a finalist, reaffirms my commitment to these goals.
Congratulations to all the winners across every category! Your achievements are a testament to the power of vision, dedication, and collaboration. I’m leaving the Black Scottish Awards with renewed energy and a clearer focus on how I can continue making meaningful contributions to sustainability—both through my work at SNRG and beyond.
Here’s to more innovation, collaboration, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. The future is bright, and I’m excited to be part of it.
